The meeting was called to order at 19:03 CDT by President Rich Maier KC9NW.
Secretary’s Report: K9DB
Minutes of the meeting of 30 May 2007 were accepted as amended.
Treasurer’s Report: N9ATQ:
The treasury stands at $361.88.
All outstanding bills have been paid.
Accepted as presented by consensus.
General Business:
K9PT announced that he and WB9YZR donated a Motorola MSR2000 repeater to the Association for parts. The PA from this unit was used as a replacement in the 145.41 system. That PA failed during the broadcast of shuttle mission STS-117. This repeater was purchased from Northway Communications was $390.35. The donantion was accepted by unanimous consensus.
K9DB reported that two of the outstanding three grant applications have been rejected. All three are requesting funds for the Brighton installation. They were all made of entities in the Clark and Wood County. Two more applications are in progress.
K9DB announced that the agreement with the Black River Amateur Radio Association (BRARA) regarding the loan of their two-meter duplexer will expire on September 1st 2007. He moved that the RMRA request the agreement be extended for another year under the same terms. The motion was amended to authorize K9DB to extend the agreement to longer than one year if amenable to the BRARA. Passed by unanimous consensus.
K9PT announced that the Wisconsin Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for installation of antennas for their systems to be installed at Brighton. Included in that bid is a provision for an Amatuer antenna at 480 feet. K9PT will know the results in about a week.
