The meeting was called to order at 18:15 CDT by President KC9NW.
Secretary’s Report: K9DB
- Minutes of the last meeting of 25 June 2012 had been distributed to board members via email and were approved as distributed.
Treasurer’s Report: N9ATQ
- N9ATQ reported a cash balance of $203.07 with no outstanding bills. The State of Wisconsin Corporation Report Form has been sent in.
Rib Mountain Systems:
146.22/.82 Repeater:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
449.3/444.3 Repeater:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
D-STAR:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes. The new server that was installed last month appears to be working nominally.
New Controller:
- No outstanding technical issues
- K9PT reported that he has installed an outdoor temperature sensor to the controller. It is not yet configured to interface to any repeater. It can be accessed via internet interface.
Brighton Repeater:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
- The 145.41 repeater was used for communications on the local leg of the GRABAAWR (GReat Annual Bicycle Adventure Along the Wisconsin River) held June 16th-23rd.
Coloma Repeater
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.

K9DB reported that the next edition of Telemetry will distributed on September 1st.
- He also made an appeal for material and articles for the September edition.
RMRA Web Site:
- KC9LFG was not present. No report.
New Business:
BRARA Swapfest at Colby

Mike Schoenfuss N9GHZ requested that the RMRA sponsor and man a booth at the Black River Amateur Radio Association Central Wisconsin Swapfest at Colby on October 13th.
- The board decided by consensus, to have a booth at the swapfest. Suggested displays included a comprehensive coverage map of all repeaters, a live D-STAR demonstration, and AutoCAD 3D models.
Repeater Linking – Rib Mountain/Brighton/Coloma/Tomah/Irma
- KC9NW presented a hi-level schematic diagram of a proposed scheme to link four repeater sites to Rib Mountain.
- He also presented specific models of repeater controllers (S-COM 7330 3-port) that would accomplish the scheme.
- He said he has four Motorola Radius and Radius equivalent transceivers for this project.
- He gave a cost estimate for equipment of $5000. He said he will have itemized cost estimates in the next week or two.
