Construction progresses on the new HDTV tower.

This photo was taken in the second week in June from a vantage point south of Rib Mountain. The height of the new HDTV tower is at 450 feet. It can be seen to the right of the existing tower. The old tower is 8 feet across on a side. The new tower is 12 feet wide. It will be topped with a "candelabra" holding the three antennas for WHRM-TV ch20, WAOW-TV ch9, and WSAW-TV ch7.

The existing RMRA 146.22/.82 antenna is located about halfway up the old structure. Once the new tower is completed and antennas moved, the old tower will be razed. The new site for the 146.22/.82 antenna will be at a similar height on the new tower.

The small tower between the other two is a microwave tower owned by Midwest Relay.
