Description of the RMRA Logo

The RMRA Logo is the intellectual property of the Rib Mountain Repeater Association, Inc.; P.O. Box 323; Wausau WI 54402-0323.

There is no one single RMRA Logo. Rather the logo is a theme upon which there are variations. At a minimum the logo consists of a stylized silhouette of Rib Mountain and main tower as viewed from the north with the letters "RMRA" in an upper-case RMRA proprietary typeface beneath.
There is no single official color scheme although blue (#2900B5) or black (#000000) on white (#FFFFFF), or black (#000000) on yellow (#FFFF00) are preferred.

Variations include the addition of the words "amateur radio" in left-justified lower-case Arial typeface immediately beneath "RMRA".

Another variation includes the callsign "W9BCC" or any other callsign issued to the RMRA left-justified in the same proprietary typeface as "RMRA" immediately above the representation of mountain.

A third variation adds the output frequencies of the RMRA repeaters right-justified in Arial immediately above the mountain.

Other variations may include special effects such as contours and drop shadows.

RMRA members are encouraged to experiment with their own design variations.



Guidelines for the Use of the RMRA Logo

Permitted Uses:

Use of the logo is encouraged on all RMRA official communications, publications, and equipment.

An RMRA member may use the RMRA logo on his/her own personal QSL cards, stationery, business cards, and web pages, and clothing.

An Amateur Radio club directly involved with the RMRA may use the RMRA logo on its QSL cards, stationery, business cards, club signs, and web pages.

All uses of the RMRA logo must be in good taste.

Any use of the RMRA logo not covered here should be pre-approved by the RMRA Board or its President.

Prohibited Uses:

An individual, organization, or business may not use the logo for any commercial or fund-raising purpose without prior permission of the RMRA Board of Directors.

An individual or organization may not use the logo to identify that individual or organization as conducting official business of the RMRA unless such business has been authorized by the RMRA Board of Directors or an appropriate officer.
