18:11 CDT - Mammatus clouds before the storm. Note the small apparently conical shaped distention that could be mistaken for a funnel cloud. Location: Knowlton, view is to the northeast.
18:51 CDT - telephoto view of a vertical distention from leading edge of the gust front. This formation was unique since it was appearing to reach to the ground Location: 3 miles west of Stratford looking to the northwest.
18:55 CDT - Right side of shelf cloud from leading edge of the gust front. Location: 3 miles west of Stratford looking to the north.
18:57 CDT - Wide angle view of the same shelf cloud. "Note the distention in the center just behind the shelf. This was NOT a wall cloud, but I believe it was responsible for the report of a tornado two miles east of Stratford about seven minutes later." - K9DB Location: 3 miles west of Stratford looking to the west.

18:57 CDT - Cloud distention again looking suspiciously like a wall cloud but lacking rotation and its location is on the leading edge of the front. Location: 3 miles west of Stratford looking to the southwest.
18:59 CDT - Left side of shelf cloud from leading edge of the gust front. This protrusion was conical in shape only a few seconds earlier and may have been responsible for the funnel report. Location: 3 miles west of Stratford looking to the southwest.
20:06 CDT - Brilliant rainbow on the backside of the storm. Note the shadow seemingly pointing to the lower right. This is called an anti-nodal crepuscular ray and it points to a place in the sky directly opposite the sun. Location: 5 miles east of Stratford looking to the east.
20:31 CDT - After the storm a building cumulus is illuminated by the sunset. Note the mammatus clouds on the underside of the anvil. Rib Mountain and the W9BCC repeater are on the horizon. Location: Intersection of County Highways C and O looking to the north across the Eau Pleine Reservoir.
