Volcanic Activity on Rib Mountain Eruption takes DNR geologists totally by surprise.
RMRA scientists were shocked to learn that increased power output from the recently upgraded repeater systems apparently contributed to the instability of a heretofore unknown geological fault in the granite strata of Rib Mountain. The RMRA nuclear reactor is believed to be uncompromised.
RMRA engineers were stunned today as previously undetected seismic activity came to life under Rib Mountain, as a volcanic fissure opened spewing tons of ash and pumice into the otherwise clear vernal sky. Theories as to the trigger for the catastrophe range from geological destabilazation caused by the nuclear reactor run by the RMRA on the mountain to mechanical stress caused by overloading of the new candelabra tower.
Wisconsin DNR geologists traced the orignin of the new fault to ground rod installation activity in support of the new RMRA HDTV system. When asked to comment on the magnitude of the disaster caused by his actions, RMRA Chief Engineer Dean Andrewjeski K9PT simply said, "Oops."
