RMRA member Rich Nesbitt N9MO is a sarcoma survivior.
Sarcoma is a relatively rare form of cancer of the body's connective tissues.
He has started a support group in the Marshfield and Wausau areas.

Walk for Sarcoma Relay 2005 is Saturday, June 11th. The walk will begin at 5:00 am from American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Marshfield and will hopefully end by 6:00 pm at Marathon Park in Wausau. Volunteers are needed to walk various portions of the 45-mile route from Marshfield to Wausau. People can walk as little as a mile or far as they feel able. Support staff are also needed for the walk There is no registration fee for the walk and the first 50 people to volunteer will receive a Sarcoma Awareness ribbon magnet. A Tug-O-War Competition will be held at Hanna's Henhouse on County Road P in Edgar on the day of the walk beginning at noon to raise funds for Sarcoma research. Entry fee is $50. Each team will be receive 2 pitchers of beer (or a non alcoholic beverage if you prefer) with their entrance fee The competition will consist of three team types (men, women, and corporate/club challenge). It is a double elimination competition. The top three finishers from each team type will win a prize. A W4S Special Event Station will also be on the air during the event.

Donation for Sarcoma research are accepted and all of the money collected will be split between Sarcoma Alliance and the Sarcoma Foundation of America. Rich has Tax ID numbers for each organization if people need it for their records.
