Clifford C. VanderWall, of Wausau was a charter member of the RMRA.
Cliff was born Nov. 19, 1914 in Green Bay to the late Charles and Ann (Hamernik) VanderWall. He attended St. Patrick Parochial School and West High School in Green Bay. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering..
He married Thelma Crone on Sept. 22, 1943 at St. Francis Cathedral in Green Bay.
Cliff served his country in World War II from 1940 - 1946 as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy. He was a registered professional engineer in the state of Wisconsin since 1950. In his career he worked at various engineering and management positions in Washington, D.C., Marinette and Wausau..
In addition to the RMRA, he was also active in the Wisconsin Valley Radio Association.
He was actively involved in religious and community affairs in both Marinette and Wausau.
Clifford C. VandeWall died Wednesday Jan. 19, 2011 at Hospice House, Wausau, at age 96.
