Eddie was a licensed amateur radio operator since the late 1990's and a member of the Wisconsin Valley Radio Association and the RMRA. Eddie is survived by his sister Dorgene Goetsch KB9PKX, her husband Paul Goetsch KQ9KX, a nephew, Tyler Goetsch KC9DOM, and three nieces. According to KQ9KX, Eddie had multiple disabilities that hampered everyday life. Ham radio was a window to the world for him. Goetsch feels area operators may not realize what an impact just talking to him had on his life. KB9QJN passed away Tuesday evening, March 30th, at Good Samaritan Health Center in Merrill.
