The meeting was called to order at 18:15 CST by President KC9NW.
Secretary’s Report: K9DB
- Minutes of the last meeting of 21 October 2012 were accepted as read.
Treasurer’s Report: N9ATQ
- No report was given for December as N9ATQ was not present.
- N9ATQ had submitted a copy of the annual report for 2012 that had not been available at the annual meeting on 3 November 2012. That report is dated 26 November 2012, 23 days after the meeting. It was decided that the report should be conditionally accepted pending clarification by N9ATQ, and added to the minutes of the annual meeting with an annotation explaining its late submission.
Election of Officers:
- As this was the first board meeting following the Annual General Membership Meeting of 3 November 2012, in accordance with the corporation by laws, the following officers were elected by consensus of the board:
- President: Rich Maier KC9NW
- Vice-President: Dave Peters KC9LFG
- Secretary: Paul Nelles K9DB
- Treasurer: Dean Andrewjeski K9PT
Rib Mountain Systems:
146.22/.82 Repeater:
- K9PT is looking at several options to replace the power amplifier on .82 using surplus broadcast equipment. The current PA would then serve as the backup.
- No other outstanding technical issues or changes.
449.3/444.3 Repeater:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
D-STAR:
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
New Controller:
- No outstanding technical issues
Brighton Repeater:
- K9DB will investigate the offer of a UHF repeater for the Brighton site made by the Taylor County ARES.
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
Coloma Repeater
- No outstanding technical issues or changes.
Old Business:
Repeater Linking – Rib Mountain/Brighton/Coloma/Tomah/Irma
- KC9NW said he is trying to obtain some equipment to test linking schemes. The type of equipment and test results will be instrumental in determining the deployment plan for 2013 that would outline a timetable for the repeater linking project.

K9DB reported that the December 1st edition of Telemetry is assembled but was not distributed as scheduled on December 1st. It will be sent out in the next few days but retain the December 1st publication date.
RMRA Web Site:
- No new developments.
New Business:
Request for Post-Grant Report from Wausau Community Foundation:
- K9DB reported that he received a request via email for from the Wausau Community Foundation requesting a report of the project results paid for by the $2000 grant awarded in 2005. This money was used to pay for in part, the re-location and raising of the VHF/UHF antennas on the Rib Mountain candelabra. He said he is writing the report and will include photographs.
